Peter has written more than 1,000 articles over the years. After all that scribbling he’s learned a few things about this insane activity. If there was an alternative title for this session, it would be “Gee… I didn’t know I knew that!”
Writing is a peculiar art. We start with a blank sheet, whether digital or physical. The goal is to take the ideas swirling around unstructured in our head—a place where we think we understand what we know—and then structure and format those ideas, placing them in rows of words, so that someone else can make sense of them. Just thinking about that process is daunting. How do we do that?
This session is about WHY it’s writing is personally worthwhile, even if we don’t have the objective of publishing it for wide distribution. We all, to some extent or other, write. We might write to communicate with staff, a vendor, or customers. We might maintain a blog. We might simply share our ideas with our partner or closest friends.
Peter will explore our obstacles and solutions to writing: procrastination, writing blocks, structure, content, how to start, when to end, word and phrase choice and how writing relates to all forms of communication.
If you want to take an inside look at how a writer thinks about writing, then join Peter as he lifts the lid on his inner thought processes.
As always, spread the word to those who might be interested in this webinar. You’re welcome to point entire associations, companies and small countries to these links. You would be doing us a favour if you did pass this on.
