Next Webinar: Taking Centre Stage – Insights & Answers

Business and entrepreneurship symposium. Speaker giving a talk at business meeting. Audience in conference hall. Rear view of unrecognized participant in audience.

24 October 2022

This is the third and final part of a trilogy of webinars on what we’ve learned along the way from a combined 70+ years as professional speakers (a number that frightens both of us somewhat). Think of this as a masterclass in presentation development and delivery.

Presenting is a topic that is fraught with risk and anxiety. Public speaking is literally the number one fear, ahead of death, of a significant proportion of the population. The fact that people would rather die than present in public is an intriguing and yet slightly disturbing sentiment.

Peter and Mark have presented a lot. Peter is a speaker who consults. Mark is a consultant who speaks. Between them, they have done this for a really long time. More amazingly, we have spent more than a decade now collaborating to bring this webinar series to our collective audiences.

In recognition of Peter’s intended retirement from speaking and participating in the Technobility webinar series, we have planned a masterclass of how we think about, plan, develop and deliver presentations. Peter kicked this off in August, with his unique take on his process. Mark shared his perspective in September. Now, we are taking the time to explore what is similar, what is different, the insights we have gained from each other, and what we ultimately recommend in being able to deliver an awesome presentation.

We’ll share our insights, perspectives and reactions to what we have presented so far. We’ll dive in to your questions. You’ll leave with a whole new take on what giving an effective presentation actively looks like.

If you aspire to present—whether occasionally or as a vocation—there is a lot to love about what we will talk about, and precious little that you will want to miss.

As always, spread the word to those who might be interested in this webinar. You’re welcome to point entire associations, companies and small countries to these links. You would be doing us a favour if you did pass this on.

This webinar series is a de Jager & Co Limited (www.technobility.com) and Interthink Consulting (www.interthink.ca) production.
