As we become better at managing people, and especially when managing change, a question arises: Are we manipulating people?
A simple, honest and immediate answer is “Yes! Management is about manipulating people to get the results we want.”
If that answer raises hairs on the back of your neck, it’s because ‘being manipulated’ carries with it a lot of negative baggage.
That’s what this webinar will explore. What is the difference between ‘a good manager’ and ‘an evil manipulator’?
Is a manager manipulating you when they use techniques to get you to improve your performance, perhaps beyond what you thought possible? Are they manipulating you when they get you to work harder without compensation? What’s the difference? Is there one? What guidelines can we put in place to ensure that we are on the good side of management and haven’t become corporate Darth Vaders in our attempt to create better teams.
Join Peter as he tries to unravel this conundrum.
